FAQs

What are the amenities?
Aside from full hookups, there are two overflow parking areas and two dumpsters that never have a chance to get full. There is also a children's play set (because the owners have a soft spot). The play set is a secret, so mum's the word.

WiFi is not offered because almost everyone has their own setup. If not, you can befriend your neighbors and ask for their password. Or start grilling.

Is the park open year-round?
You want winter camping? We have winter camping. Bring a heated water hose. You'll need a snow shovel, too, but roadway plowing is provided.

Where is it located?
South Bend in rural surroundings with easy access to IN-931, US-31, US-20, I-80/90 (Indiana Toll Road), IN-4, US-6, and US-12, all of which lead over the river and through the woods.

Are pets allowed?
Yes. See the Terms & Conditions below. Don't make us feed "Lucky" the lion.

How long are the sites?
All but 2 sites are 60 feet long. The two shorter sites are 35 feet long but are double wide. It's enough length for your rig and one vehicle, comfortably.

In the 2 shorter sites, you can park your vehicle under your awning so when you bring groceries in you won't get wet.

1. Site Fee + Electric (if applicable)
Monthly Guests: The fee is due on the anniversary date of each month for that month. There may be a pro-rated refund for early departure. Electric will be billed separately, at market rate, on or around the 5th of each month, for the previous month’s actual usage. Service charges and all other fees charged by the utility will be the responsibility of Shamrock Hills RV Park, LLC ("SHRVP").

Deposit: Guests who rent in Monthly increments will be required to pay a $200 deposit for electric that will be refunded upon departure assuming all electric usage is paid up to date. Failure to pay rent and electric amounts that due in a timely manner will result in eviction from SHRVP.

Daily or Weekly Guests: The fee for your reserved period is due in advance or upon arrival. Schedule changes that extend your stay beyond your original reservation period are due at the end of the originally scheduled time period for the additional day(s) or week(s). Electric is included in the Daily and Weekly rate.

All payments to SHRVP are to be made by Credit Card, Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo.

2. Site Condition
Guests are responsible for keeping site(s) tidy and free from trash and clutter. This will be monitored and decisions will be made solely at the discretion of SHRVP. You will be asked to remedy anything that needs to be addressed on your site. If the request isn’t rectified within 24 hours, you will be asked to leave or be evicted.

RVs older than 10 years will not be permitted unless its restoration and/or appearance meets the aesthetic standard expected as determined in advance by SHRVP.

However, during the long term but temporary phase in which transient workers are "work-camping” in the region for various, large-scale construction projects, RVs older than 10 years will be permitted with the following requirements:

a. Unit must be maintained in proper working condition.

b. Tarps may not be used to cover RVs.

c. RV exteriors will be kept clean of dirt, mold, mildew, algae, or other detracting conditions.

d. Large propane tanks are permitted, up to 100 gals, as provided by local vendors.

e. SHRVP understands that unforeseen circumstances happen. If a leak is experienced, or RV damage is sustained that requires a tarp for a short period, contact management. SHRVP will accommodate reasonable, temporary needs.

f. Absolutely no vehicle maintenance or repairs are to be performed on SHRVP property without prior permission.

g. Exterior washing of RVs and vehicles with soap and water is permitted at no additional cost.

3. Pets
Pets are welcome on the property. SHRVP requires that pets are kept on a leash at all times, including while at your site and outside your RV.

Pet waste must be picked up immediately, including if it occurs anywhere in the surrounding wooded areas that guests walk through. Convenience bag dispensers are located on both ends of the park to ensure that no pet waste is left behind.

Aggressive pets must be controlled at all times. If an aggressive pet harms another animal and/or Guest, you will be held responsible. Pets who are an ongoing nuisance to other Guests will be required to cease the behavior. Failure to comply with either will result in being asked to leave or be evicted.

4. Utilities
SHRVP-provided Water/Sewer/Electric infrastructure and equipment are the property of SHRVP. Any damage caused by a guest to any of these items (including frozen water distribution parts due to improper usage) will be charged for the repair with payment due prior to the Guest's departure.

NOTICE! Although heated water valves are provided, an electrically heated hose is required to prevent the anti-siphon portion of the valve from freezing.

NOTICE! When outside temperatures are below 10°F, all hoses (HEATED OR NON-HEATED) must be removed other than for filling the onboard reservoir in you RV. This is a preventative practice that benefits the Guest and SHRVP.

IMPORTANT: When outside temperatures fall below freezing, ensure that your RV furnace maintains a normal interior temperature during any absence to prevent water hoses and connected systems from freezing. Space heater usage (in lieu of the furnace) is typically insufficient to keeping the basement, where the water system resides, at a temperature that keeps the system from freezing. Once the water system freezes it typically requires outdoor temperatures to rise high enough and long enough to unfreeze the water system. Reference and follow your unit's owner's manual before applying any recommended method.

SHRVP will not be held responsible for any unexpected power outages that results in interrupted water service.

Septic protocol dictates that you “DUMP” in a dosage manner, rather than leaving your black or gray tank valves open full-time to "TRICKLE". The trickle method results in the accumulation of solids in your tanks as well as SHRVP's sewer drains. The recommended best practice to dump your tanks is to allow contents to accumulate and then dump it all at once, first the black tank, then the grey tank(s), which also serves to rinse the hose.

5. Site Parking
The vehicle traffic pattern at SHRVP is, from a top down view of the campground, counter-clockwise from the point of entry (straight/east along the south road, west along the north road). Vehicles and RVs are to be parked on gravel only. It is understandable that vehicles may travel over non-gravel areas, but please try to stay on the roads and pads to keep the park nice. Guests may park in the front parking area or along the east fence.

The SHRVP speed limit is 10 MPH. Drive cautiously and scan carefully for children.

6. Behavior
SHRVP has sole discretion to address any and all behavior that may affect other Guests and/or neighboring properties. Non-compliance will result in being asked to leave or eviction.

7. Storage Sheds
No storage sheds are permitted on individual sites.

One small, tasteful storage bin will be allowed on the SHRVP site to store grilling and other outside furniture and items. If a shed is brought to SHRVP, a spot may be rented in the utility area near the east turn-a-round. A rental fee will be determined based on unit size. (A typical 8’x8’ shed will cost $150 monthly. Larger sheds will be considered, and a cost negotiated, on a case-by-case basis).

8. Liability
SHRVP shall not be held responsible for any damage or injury to a Guest or a Guest’s personal property, including vehicles, RVs, motorcycles, utility vehicles, or any other possession, for any reason. Guests are personally responsible, and maybe legally liable, for the actions of their visitor(s). Guests are expected to carry appropriate insurance on their property in the event that any damage occurs.

AGREEMENT: I agree to the terms and conditions as stated in this document, and understand that I am a PAYING GUEST of Shamrock Hills RV, LLC, and therefore not bound by any tenant and/or landlord arrangement of any kind. If management determines that I or anyone on my site is satisfying ANY Indiana State statute 32-32.5-2-1 criteria, I will be asked to leave the premises immediately. If I do not leave, or I return, I will be arrested for Criminal Trespass, and my possessions will be removed and my vehicles towed at my expense.
